Mind and Disposition.
Taciturn, depressed, out of humor.
Inclined to internal, undemonstrative grief.

[5] Dulness of the mind and indisposition to perform any sort of labor.
Head.
Vertigo ; when leaning against something, he feels as if the brain were in motion.
Vertigo ; increasing when exercising in the open air, relieved when sitting in a room.
Stitches in the left temple, the forehead, with dizziness.
Headache in the morning, when rising.
[10] Stitches in the head (temples ; forehead, when stooping).
Congestion of blood to the head ; increased sensation of heat as the head.
The headache is ; relieved by applications of cold water.
Fine, sharp, itching, stinging in the hairy scalp, which constantly reappears in another place after scratching ; worse in the evening and when at rest, better from motion.
Eyes.
Dilatation of the pupils.
[15] The eyes lie deep in the orbits, look dim, and are surrounded by blue rings.
Itching of the eyelids.
Swelling of the upper eyelids.
Obscuration of sight.
Double vision ; strabismus.
[20] Burning in the eyes ; worse when reading.
Ears.
Itching in the ears, with increased secretion of wax.
Hearing diminished.
Nose.
Diminished sense of smell.
Fluent coryza (morning).
Face.
[25] Pale face.
Small pimples in the face, rapidly filling up and then drying up.
Mouth and Throat.
Dryness of the lips, without thirst.
Increased secretion of tenacious mucus in the mouth.
Mouth and throat redder than usual.
[30] Tongue coated white.
Fine stitches ; in, the surface of the tongue.
Redness of the tip of the tongue, with small, burning blister, impeding speech and mastication, with increase of saliva.
The upper lip feels numb, as from an induration.
Burning on the tip of the tongue (evening).
[35] Food tastes flat.
Dryness in the throat.
Sensation of painful constriction in the throat.
Burning and scraping in the throat.
The tonsils and palate are shrivelled and white.
Stomach and Abdomen.
[40] Aversion do cat bread and butter ; less aversion to warm food.
After eating but little, aversion to the rest of the food, with sensation of nausea in the throat.
Thirst during the night.
Thirst and hunger, with dryness in the throat.
Nausea and accumulation of water in the mouth.
[45] Nausea and fulness in the chest, with unusual hunger (morning).
Nausea (morning ; after eating fat food).
Vomiting of blood.
Nausea caused by eating and drinking ; could only drink lemonade without being nauseated.
Vomiting of mucus followed by sleep.
[50] Fulness and pressure in the stomach, -pit of the stomach,- as if he had eaten too much.
Stitches in the stomach, region of the liver, navel, abdomen.
Sensitiveness, when moving, of the abdomen to pressure.
Rumbling in the intestines.
Stool and Anus.
Frequent discharge of hard stool (hard lumps).
[55] Diarrhoea, watery, papescent, with vomiting at night.
Pressure in the rectum.
Discharge of blood from the rectum.
Drawing, pressing pain in and about the anus and perineum, as from subcutaneous ulceration, when walking or sitting.
Urinary Organs.
Frequent copious emission of whitish urine.
[60] Stitches in the urethra, with desire to urinate, followed by a sudden discharge of dark red-yellow urine.
Frequent micturition, with pressure on the bladder and rectum.
Urine dark-colored, with flakes floating in it.
Sexual Organs.
Men. The prepuce and corona glandis feel sore from slight rubbing.
Women. Catamenia too profuse and too frequent.
[65] Before menstruation (at night) labor-like pains ; the abdomen was bloated and swollen on the previous day ; the menstrual blood is black and clotted.
Secretion from the swollen mammae, like milk.
Respiratory Organs and Chest.
When reading aloud the voice is weak.
Scraping and dryness in the pharynx, causing a suffocative cough.
Oppression of the chest, with impeded breathing.
[70] Sensation of great weakness in the chest, as if there was not strength enough to breathe.
Pressure in the sternum.
Palpitation of the heart ; stitches in the region of the heart.
Back and Neck.
Dull stitches in the region of the kidney ; worse when drawing a long breath.
In the neck stiffness ; a paralytic pain.
Extremities.
[75] Upper. Paralytic hard pressure in the upper and forearm, as if in the periosteum and interiorly in the muscles, extending to the fingers, hindering writing.
Cramp-like, slow contraction of the right thumb and index ; they have to be extended by force.
Stinging itching or pricking, as from needles between the fingers, ceasing after scratching.
Sensation of numbness in the right hand.
Lower. Cramp-like pain in the posterior surface of the thigh, above the bend of the right knee.
[80] Sensation as if sprained in the left foot.
Soreness in the heels when walking.
Feet (toes) frost-bitten (looking red).
Generalities.
Pressing, drawing pains, generally in the periosteum or where the skin covers the bones.
Weakness, especially in the evening, with ill-humor and sleepiness ; better when moving about.
Fever.
[85] Pulse double heat.
Attacks of chilliness in the morning or evening.
During the evening chill, great sensitiveness to cold air or to being uncovered.
After the chill heat, especially of the face, -the hands remaining cold for a long time.
Heat after eating.
[90] Perspiration at night, during sleep, of offensive smell.
Skin.
Itching ; pricking at night, especially at night in bed ; disappearing in one place when scratching, but reappearing at once at another place.
Conditions.
Aggravation when at rest and in the evening.
As long as he moves about he feels well, but as soon as he sits down, especially in the evening, he experiences various inconveniences.
Aggravation from eating fat food ; while reposing (when sitting, standing).
